Parc national d'Ivindo is part of the Tentative list of Gabon in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Parc national d'Ivindo is a national park encompassing forests and wetland clearings. Its old-growth forests are home to an exceptional biodiversity (birds, monkeys, other mammals) and constitute a laboratory for the study of speciation processes, particularly concerning insects and fish. They are home to the largest concentration of elephants and gorillas in Gabon. There are also spectacular waterfalls.
