Lake Bogoria National Reserve

Lake Bogoria National Reserve is part of the Tentative list of Kenya in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List. This site (or parts of it) has already been inscribed under Kenya Lake System WHS.
Lake Bogoria is a saline, alkaline lake that is known for one of the world's largest populations of lesser flamingos. Lake Bogoria is shallow (about 10 m depth), and is about 34 km long by 3.5 km wide. There are hot springs on the western edge of the lake.
