Badhyz State Nature Reserve is part of the Tentative list of Turkmenistan in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Badhyz State Nature Reserve is a serial nomination of four adjacent nature reserves, protecting different landscape, including unique pistachio savannah, steppe grasslands, rocky badlands and semi-desert with canyons and seasonal lakes. It contains a large population of the extremely rare Turkmenian kulan (wild ass).
