Vratsa Karst Nature Reserve is part of the Tentative list of Bulgaria in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Vratsa Karst Nature Reserve is a karst massif with picturesque landscapes. The Vratsata Gorge has the highest cliffs on the Balkan Peninsula (450m high). Its caves are known for their rich diversity in (endemic) invertebrate fauna.
