The State Stud-Farm Estate of Mezöhegyes was founded as a Habsburg Royal Stud Farm in 1784. It was here that the Nonius, later on the Gidan, the Furioso and the North Star types of horses and the Mezőhegyes English full bood were bred. The large farm includes a roofed riding hall and barracks, granaries, gates and fence posts.
