Mountainous Phrygia

Mountainous Phrygia is part of the Tentative list of Turkiye in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Mountainous Phrygia comprises several rock monuments created by the Phrygians between the 9th and 6th centuries BC. They include the ancient cities of Gordion and Aizanoi, and many rock-cut tombs such as the Midas Monument and the painted Balkayası Monument.
