Le Portail du Monastère de Ripoll
Le Portail du Monastère de Ripoll is part of the Tentative list of Spain in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The Portal of the Monastery of Ripoll dates from the 12th century and is considered a masterpiece of Romanesque art. The 7 m high and 11.50 m wide portal is located on the main façade of the monastery church of Santa Maria. The front features a relief divided into seven horizontal bands, depicting various biblical scenes.
