Khokana

Khokana, the vernacular village and its mustard-oil seed industrial heritage is part of the Tentative list of Nepal in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Khokana is a village of medieval origin that has a long history in the mustard-oil seed industry. In the process a heavy wooden beam is used to crush the mustard seeds to extract the oil. The town also has a number of temples and ponds.
