Archaeological Site of Rehman Dheri

.

Archaeological Site of Rehman Dheri is part of the Tentative list of Pakistan in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Rehman Dheri is a Pre-Harappan archaeological site that represents one of the oldest urbanized centres in South Asia. The excavations revealed several periods of settlement from 3300 to 1900 BCE. Rehman Dheri is a low rectangular mound with a regular grid network of streets. The city was abandoned during the heyday of the Harappan period, leaving its layout unchanged over the centuries.
