Beech Forests (Serbia)

Ancient and Primeval Beech Forests of the Carpathians and Other Regions of Europe (Serbia) has been part of the Tentative list of Serbia.

The Beech Forests in Serbia include the three national parks Fruška gora, Tara and Kopaonik. They contain largely undisturbed, complex temperate forests of European beech. Their main value lies in the endemic and relict species and forest plant communities found here.
