Paraguayan Pantanal is part of the Tentative list of Paraguay in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

The Paraguayan Pantanal is a seasonally flooded alluvial plan and part of one of the most important swamplands at a global scale, shared with Brazil and Bolivia. It is the habitat of threatened mammals such as the Maned Wolf, Puma, Jaguar and Giant Otter. It is a RAMSAR wetland and Important Bird Area.
