.

Cerro el Plomo high shrine is part of the Tentative list of Chile in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

The Cerro el Plomo high shrine was an Inca sanctuary on an over 5,000m high mountain. It was dedicated to the Sun god: Inti. In 1954 a mummy of an approximately nine-year-old child was found on the summit, probably sacrificed by the Incas in a ritual.
