Pretty impressive, and would be hard work to beat, but doable I think.

They must have used private transport (taxi) as there isn't really a way to get to Blenheim that early in the morning without using something like that, public transport options dry up at around midnight and it is a 3 hour walk from Oxford, something I would imagine they would have mentioned in the article.

Still fair play to them.

Thanks for the research, meltwaterfalls!

meltwaterfalls:
14 18:54 Beemster Polder, North Holland Bus
15 18:54 Defence Line of Amsterdam, North Holland N/A

For this double hit they used one of the "Exact locations inscribed twice" fortresses

meltwaterfalls:
11 15:20 Van Nellefabriek, Rotterdam Train
12 16:45 Rietveld Schröderhuis, Utrecht Train

By proper public transport this would have needed a bus and a train, so I suspect that they took a taxi to the railway station, train Rotterdam-Utrecht, and then a taxi again in Utrecht to the Rietveld Schröderhuis. Otherwise these times are impossible (1.25h).
