A new high tech arena for the Colosseum, apparently coming very soon, this time for real:

Italian: https://www.ilmessaggero.it/roma/news/colosseo_arena_bando_ultime_notizie_oggi_22_dicembre_2020-5660476.html
English: https://www.archpaper.com/2020/12/italy-is-adding-a-new-floor-to-the-colosseum-pitfalls-traps-and-all/

I don't know, really. Since the idea is not new, here is a quite critical opinion piece from 2015 I found, waiting for the next wave:

A Utah man who dug up graves at Yellowstone while searching for Forrest Fenn's $1 million treasure is facing up to 12 years in prison

Oh interesting, my brother-in-law lives in the same town as him.

Will see if I can get any gossip.

I'm not sure how I feel about that. I get a little uncomfortable with fully restoring things, especially something like the Colosseum, which has been renowned as a ruin, for much longer than it was ever an active amphitheatre.

But in counter balance, I mostly disagree with everything the writer of the article publishes, so am in a quandary that I may agree with him :)
