I found pretty interesting this National Geographic Article on the Xochimilco component of Mexico City WHS and how the long standing agricultural technics, and both cultural and natural associations seem to be slowly reviving:

Not a WHS but TWHS, Lao's Hin Nam No NP has been used to name typhoon. I am not sure are there any WHS/TWHS get this similar honour!
