*** Tentatively Listed for 2021

Interesting to consider that about half of these nominations could be inscribed by WHC 2023. It should be noted, China, France, and India of which 7 tentative nominations each are listed, have a large catalogue of sites attempting to earn that coveted spot as the next official nomination. It is all but guranteed each of these 3 state parties will have official nominations submitted for 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Has India submitted 3 nominations? I assume they will all go through the "completeness check" and potentially two nominations will be evaluated at the next WHS convention(s)?

Dholavira: A Harappan City
Monuments and Forts of the Deccan Sultanate
Group of Monuments at Mandu, Madhya Pradesh

Perhaps an Iranian Shortlist of Developing Nominations

Persian Caravanserai [Article January 2021]

Vali-e Asr Street [Article December 2020]

Persian caravanserais seems to be in the running for nomination by Iran in the next years: Iran has no nomination yet for 2023, so this could be it.

Historical Sultanates of Comoros undoubtably is nearing submission of a nomination file. Based on reports, I suspect 2022 or 2023. There has been tremendous support given to Somalia and Comoros to officially submit their first nomination files. Oman has been supportive, providing half a million Euro's.

UNESCO World Heritage Fund International Assistance project

"Support for the finalization of the management plan and the analysis of the state of conservation of the Historic Sultanates of Comoros in preparation of a World Heritage nomination dossier."

Coral Stone Mosques (Maldives) is also likely approaching a complete nomination file (though it is exceedingly difficult to estimate a timeframe). This excellent website really highlights the history and architecture of these unique mosques.

Genoese Trade Routes

I do hope Turkey proceeds with this, and expand this to sites in Ukraine and other sites that used to be Genoese colonies.
