Pu'er tea and Pu'er House - Southeast Asia Tea Horse Road
This nomination is becoming more complex but understandable because it has been questioned by central authorities for its OUV proposed by Yunnan. Puer tea plantation is not unique, the process of fermented and pressed tea cake is the thing that special, but hard to show OUV on tangible properties. Anyway Puer tea has another unique role on Old Tea Horse Road, a caravan routes similar to Silk Roads. Possible that China may combine the WH tentative site of Dali and its surroundings to be part of network of Old Tea Horse Road, to make this nomination better, and they need to include Lijiang too as it was an important stop of the route.
Its expansion to Southeast Asia is more interesting, funny that the Chinese decide not to include Laos and Thailand, maybe the old tea horse road in this section has strange role for invasion that Chinese used to invade and destroy Luang Prabang! and during WWII that Yunnan division of Kuomintang army use the road to escape from China via Laos and Thailand before move to Taiwan!
