Will they follow the Camino Real example of Mexico (to include everything twice),

I think the description, which includes the following section, makes it pretty clear they would aim to inscribe twice, claiming that the current inscriptions don't fully cover the "theatrical" OUV within their existing but wider/different OUV. That is presumably a part of why they would claim they needed to include 14 such theatres from different periods
"Ancient theatres form a unique category of monument, both as an architectural concept and as regards their connections to the origins of dramatic art. Some Greek theatres form individual elements of wider archaeological sites inscribed on the World Heritage List (Epidaurus, Delos, Delphi in Greece and Syracuse, Butrint, Cyrene and Cyprus in other countries); these do not, however, form the core of those incriptions and are not directly linked to the genesis of theatre, unlike those included in the present proposal."

I do not remember the previous tentative list of Greece.
Solivagant, I remember that you have an excel sheet containing all tentative lists. Can you share it in this website or you can mail it to me so that I can refer it in future.

Solivagant, I remember that you have an excel sheet containing all tentative lists

Hi kkanekahn,
I think you are referring to a spreadsheet I made up by cutting and pasting from the UNESCO T List Web page around 14 Dec 2013 when I tried to analyse the T List as at that date - in particular how long sites had been on the T List. A problem was that UNESCO only counts the date at which a country LAST placed a site on its T List not the date it first placed it - unless they happen to be the same!

I am perfectly happy to send it to you but it is a bit of a mess with lots of HTML links etc and a format as on the UNESCO Web site rather than a nicely laid out spreadsheet - I never needed to clean it up for the purpose I created it!! Nevertheless it DOES represent a snapshot of the T List as of that date. Let me know if you still want it after reading the rest of this post!
Below is the list of Greek sites at that time with the date they were recorded as having been placed on the T List - all in 2003 when Greece last updated its list even though some will have been there earlier.

I have looked into my folders and I also have a spreadsheet of the T Lists as of 2003, 2005 and 2008. However perhaps the best way of discovering what the T List looked like at any particular date is to refer to the WHC papers for that year - one of them will be called something along the lines of "Information on Tentative Lists". It will be in Word format but it could also be cut and pasted onto a spreadsheet of course if you wanted/needed to! Here is a link to the document for 2000 - at the end it shows what the Greek T List looked like before 2003!

Greek T List in 2003 after update that year
The Palace of Knossos (#) (31/01/2003)
Archaeological Site of Nikopolis (31/01/2003)
Archaeological site of Philippi (31/01/2003)
Lavrio (Ancient Laurion) (31/01/2003)
The broader region of Mount Olympus (31/01/2003)
The Area of the Prespes Lakes: Megali and Mikri Prespa which includes Byzantine and post-Byzantine monuments (31/01/2003)
National Park of Dadia - Lefkimi - Souflion (31/01/2003)
Gorge of Samaria National Park (31/01/2003)

Greek T List in 2000. I don't fully understand why but it includes 3 inscribed sites as at that time marked "*" I have just done a straight "cut and paste" from the document and left them in!
Le Monastere de St.Jean Theologue de Patmos (*)
Le site archeologique d' Akrotiri
Le site archeologique de Knossos
Le site archeologique de Nicopolis (Epire)
Le site archeologique de Vergina (*)
Les sites archeologiques de Mycenes et de Tiryns (*)
Old City of Corfu

Hi winterkjm,
Where did you get this "REmoved" info? I have just looked on the UNESCO web site for India's T List and Dolavira, Golconda (with other Hyderabad - Qutb Shahi/Charminar) and Matheran Railway (as one of 2 extensions to Mountain Railways) are all still there even after the April 14 2014 additions. The Mountain railways extension is strange as Kangra/Matheran have been added but Kangra has also been left on in its own right from 2009.

These additions include some interesting sites which migt best be discussed under the Indian WHS forum - e.g Santinikaten is now on the list twice as it has been added as 1 of the Saytagra sites
