Again - it is of interest to understand how/why some of the "New" entries on the list got there
In this regard, everyone was generally given (3) suggestions (favorites) outside their country of origin. These were added automatically, others were by general support from the extensive list by Assif, Jonathanf, and kkanekhan (and by other suggestions)
The "rules" have been leniently followed for inclusion sake and more participation (indeed over 16 individuals suggested sites). For example, sometimes users suggested 4 sites, or perhaps one site in their home country. I've tried to accommodate everyone, while keeping some form of framework. Khuft
also did some of the organizing of sites.
It was generally agreed that there would be no change of the ORIG sites that were part of the Top 50 missing. These would be re-voted upon and are all included here. I was overruled on this, initially I wanted to delete some of these original suggestions. But it makes sense, because many of these sites had support, that would be hard to verify today.
We don't have to be to caught up too much on the list here, there is certainly some general agreement, but in all purposes it will be flawed. Surely, many of the "fluff" (lack of a better word) will not be included after the voting rounds.Total nominations: 116
To clarify, it is not that difficult to get on the voting list, but most sites will be eliminated following the voting rounds. Even if we choose exactly 50, most of the nominations listed here won't make it. Whatever remains can be an inventory list for when nominations in the Top 50 missing are inscribed, no?
