The DMZ as a world heritage site (ROK and DPRK).

This has been discussed before. A somewhat unlikely outcome considering the current stalemate, but if things lined up right, it could happen very rapidly. I am sure the world heritage committee would love to inscribe such a site, regardless of the what the Advisory Bodies recommended.

"The DMZ is the common heritage of humankind and its value must be shared with the whole world. Once peace is established between the two Koreas, I will work together with North Korea to inscribe the DMZ as a UNESCO World Heritage Site,"

Iran - Rab'-e Rashidi

Rab'-e Rashidi was established during the reign of Ghazan, a ruler of the Ilkhanid dynasty (1256-1353). The historical site embraces a paper factory, a library, a hospital (Dar-al-Shafa), a Quranic center (Dar-al-Quran), residential facilities for teachers, students' quarters, and a caravanserai amongst other facilities. Iran keeps an eye on a possible inscription of the site on the UNESCO World Heritage list by 2025.
