Has Lille changed its mind on inscription or is the Maire of Le Quesnoy pushing for it? The fortress there is known as the "Queen of the citadels" but I had thought Lille was opposed to inscription since it is a working military base? Both would be important extensions to the Vauban sites. Not sure why Breisach is necessary as Neuf-Breisach is already inscribed.

Breisach is in Germany. Transnational monuments are favoured in regards to the new capping system.

News from Honduras

The article says that the site Marcos de Colon will be discussed in Cracow this summer. This is of course wrong. On the other hand, it says the site was submitted last year, which means it should be discussed in 2018. This, too, is wrong. Should be expect the site for 2019?

Of course they got wrong the whole process. Maybe they are just attempting to get the site into the Tentative List, which is the mandatory step.
Aside from the San Marcos de Colón biosphere reserve, that they treat in detail, it is also of note that they mention another potential TL site: the archaeological park of Yarumela.

At the end, they also got wrong the number of WH sites per country, for Costa Rica and Panama.

Right, I just didn't think Breisach was fortified by Vauban and was heavily damaged. It's a nice town with a really great cathedral and for the upper Rhine its about as close to the kind of town you'll get on the Middle Rhine. And I will welcome more German WHS as I am there at least three times a year and I have a particular scholarly interest in Germanic history. The more preservation the better and I find myself having a lower OUV tolerance than others (for many many sites).
