Too bad the Matterhorn was not considered.

Here are those Swiss sites for those of us (me :)) whose French is a touch limited. I've also added a bit of a description on some that I didn't know that well.

- The castle of Chillon
- The Great St. Bernard Hospice
- The foundation of the "new towns" Zaehringen - could be an extension to Bern, there are also towns founded by the Zahringen family in German so could be transnational.
- The bisses (irrigation systems) of the Valais
- The Sacred Mounts of Orselina and Brissago (serial transnational property)
- The Munot (castle) of Schaffhausen
- The Swiss chalet (serial transnational property)
- Panoramas (well transnational serial) perhaps with Messdag and Waterloo
- The Reformation Wall - sculptural ensemble in Geneva commemorating reformers
- The Dübendorf aerodrome - looks like any small regional military airfield, doesn't seem to have any real merit beyond being quite old for an airport
- The Goetheanum - designed by Rudolf Steiner as a centre for his philosophy, rather lovely sculptural use of concrete
- The bridge over the Salgina gorge - may look somewhat underwhelming to some but this is one of the most influential bridges in the modern world, personally I think it is rather beautiful and hope it is an early proposal
- Hiking trails
- The cultural landscape of Val Bavona
- The chestnut forests of Italian Switzerland
- The mining landscape of Schaffhausen
- Cherries from Central Switzerland
- The industrial landscape of the Zurich Oberland
- The Palaeontological Remains of the Jura
- The old beech woods of Bettlachstock and the Lodano Valley (TI)
Transnational networks)

I think that Poland should consider proposing, as a transnational serial proposal, the Racławice Panorama.

Actually, this list contains all the sites that were considered to be added on the TL.
The government decided to add only two sites in the next few years:
-The ancient beech forests of Bettlachstock (SO) and the Lodano Valley (TI): it completes the serial transnational primeval and ancient beech forest of Germany, Solvakia and Urkraine on the World Heritage List. Such forests are extraordinary example of the exceptional ecological dynamics represented by the expansion of beech forests on the entire European continent after the last Ice Age. The forests of Val di Lodano et du Bettlachstock are natural reserves and already benefit of a good protection.
-The bridge over the Salgina gorge (GR): It is the work of Swiss engineer Robert Maillart. Built in 1930, 90 meters long, it was back-then the longest arch-bridge of its style. Its new form was esthetically and structurally unique and still represents today a model of construction in reinforced concrete. It is a architectural masterpiece of the 20th century marking history of engineering.

Three potential sites are still pending (lack of necessary information for an insciption on the T-list):
- Saint-Gothard railway line :the railway company has not yet studied implication from a nomination.
- Covered wooden bridges: further studies needed to assess historical importance and select significative bridges.
- Alpine Karst: preliminary studies commitionned to Swiss Institue of Speleology, and expertise of IUCN needed.

I think that Poland should consider proposing, as a transnational serial proposal, the Racławice Panorama.

This would not be possible as it was moved from its original location in Lviv.
