Liam:
The 'heritage' brief has gone to Lord Parkinson of Whitley Bay, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of Arts and Heritage.

Thanks for that - an organisational "tweak" made last Oct which I hadn't picked up on! I see he has a degree in History from Cambridge which gives him some credibility in the "Heritage" domain I suppose though I have an inherent mistrust (and dislike whatever their party) of ex SpAds moving upward and onward to the HoL gravy train at his young age (39). I found this tale about him amusing - "31 May 2022, Lord Parkinson asserted that imperial measurements, which the government was proposing to reintroduce, are "universally understood"; and, when questioned, that there are 14 ounces in a pound (the actual number is 16) and that one pound corresponds to 250g (the actual number is 454)"

- the mountain Moens Klint
...
- The painter's cliffs

There are a couple of errors, just to clear it up:

- "Møns klint" is not a mountain like in Latin mons :-D But just "Møns cliffs"
- the mysterious "painter's cliffs" are actually the even more mysterious moler cliffs, where mo-ler is a kind of clay (dk. ler) , so no maler 'painter' here :-D

Anyway, even if these proposals have been listed on the Danish site since more than 3 years, nothing moves on the official UNESCO page.

Is that so relevant? It doesn't seem so valuable and probably repetititive with Stevs Klint, no?

Well, it was in part a personal thing as I visited the place with great pleasure, and then, seeing it was sitting on the Danish T-list since so long, I was just waiting for its official addition on the UNESCO site.

It might be true that it is "yet another cliff", but it is also true that it is a very beautiful place with a meaningful geological history (and a megamuseum that lets you understand it very well). Also, the whole context of Møns island is on of the nicest in Denmark, I think. And it is quite different from Stevns: different shape, different story, different geology. Its most similar counterpart are actually the cliffs of Rügen, in the Jasmund national park (Beech forest WHS), "in front of it" on the other side of the sea.
