The reason for this new topic is to discuss tentative lists that can be expected or are currently in development. There has been considerable discussion on "missing countries" or even extremely outdated tentative lists. The "New Tentative Lists" topic is primarily used to post new additions to tentative lists. The countries listed here are "active", and can be reasonably expected to make additions or updates to their respective tentative list in 2014 or 2015. Brazil, Chile, DPRK, Namibia, Venezuela, and Vietnam are pure conjecture at this point.

Australia (19 WHS) *IN DEVELOPMENT
- Exhausted tentative list (2 total), expected update soon

Brazil (19 WHS)
- All but one tentative nomination (15 total) is pre-1998

Chile (5 WHS)
- All but two tentative nominations (18 total) are pre-1998

China (45 WHS) *NEAR COMPLETION
- Major update to tentative list (48 total) in 2013, but expected "clean-up" to continue

Democratic Republic of Korea (2 WHS)
- All tentative nominations (5 total) are pre-2000

Germany (38 WHS) *IN DEVELOPMENT
- Current tentative list (10 total) dates from 1999, additional nominations have been included

India (30 WHS) *IN DEVELOPMENT
- Indications are that a revision of the current tentative list (33 total) is progressing

Namibia (2 WHS)
- All tentative nominations (3 total) are pre-2002

Republic of Korea (10 WHS) *NEAR COMPLETION
- New tentative list (18 total) has progressed from 2010 - 2014, final additions expected soon

Venezuela (3 WHS)
- Only three tentative nominations, all pre-2003

Vietnam (7 WHS)
- Following two failed nominations, and two being evaluated in 2014, Vietnam's tentative list (7 total) is largely exhausted

India has already selected 57 sites for tentative list. Many of the dossiers are also completed.
However as India wants to send all of them at once, so it is going to take little time.

However it may be delayed as elections are going to happen now.

Malaysia
- Royal Belum State Park URL
- DaMal URL

Concerning Belum (2014): "The department would officially submit an application to Unesco at the end of the year or early next year, for Royal Belum to be included in the tentative list."

Concerning DaMal (2012): "The finalized and complete Nomination Dossier will be submitted to Department of National Heritage by 15 Dec 2012, to include DaMaI in Tentative List of Malaysia. Tentative List is an inventory of sites that Malaysia plans to nominate as WHS in next 5 to 10 years

Seemingly a more extensive update is in the works following the recent addition of Taman Negara National Park.

Well it is good news they are still progressing with these. I imagine the time frame may slip a little, but I am glad it is still going ahead. A lot of work was being done by the World Monuments Fund at them and they really are worthy sites.
