Finished Tunisia!

The country is a bit unpopular (the last pick here as well!), an I haven't been able to bring myself to visit it although it would be easy. It seems to have already too many WHS for a country of its size, but the T list has some potential. The descriptions are usually well-written and with most of them you can see the point of bringing it forward. One of the longest Roman aqueducts at Chott El Jerid, the Jugurtha Tableland, the Troglodyte dwellings in the south, and the Numidian mausoleums all looked interesting enough to me.

I got my phone stolen near the Medina of Tunis. I liked Carthage, Bardo Museum and Sidi Bou Said, but I don't feel like going back.

I'm rather a fan of Tunisia and it is a quick and easy place to tick off (especially for us Europeans).
The sites are pretty concentrated; Tunis, Carthage, El Jem and Sousse are very easy to pick off (could probably cover them in a weekend). Kairouan is an easy diversion from Sousse, and Dougga and Kerkauane are both straight forward day trips from Tunis.

It perhaps doesn't reach the heights of other north African countries, but is well worth a visit and the welcome was very friendly.

Above all, starting every meal with a plate of harissa and a baguette should be adopted worldwide.
