Zoe:
Unless you guys do the meetup outside of Europe I don't think I can even consider joining.

Feel free to propose a site and time that would fit you and matches a bit the requirements we laid out so far.

Zoe:
Macquarie Island boat trip in January, anyone? :) *tumbleweed*

Boat trips are clearly off. Especially if the Ruceks join. I should be in the wider area in January. But that's not on my to visit list ;)

Vega has no mainland component - other than a main island. Somewhat like then bigges island i the Orkneys - called "Mainland" (excactly as Solivagant states).

I'd like to fix a date (for those making travel plans for 2020): weekend of 5/6 September?

I don´t know if we already have to many idéas for the meetup. I visited Tel Aviv on my own some years back and really enjoyed my stay there in January ! I really would like to go back to explore more of this area. If we team up during a couple of days I think we all feel more "safe" to do this, rather than being on our own. Just an idéa !

Sadly, I don't think we'll be able to make this catch up. We're going to be be in Chile during this September. Next time though!

Quite sure I'll be checking out the Serengeti wildebeest migration in September unless this or nearby is the planned meetup.
