Solivagant:
There are a number of countries I have tried over the past few days but have always given up because of lack of "early" success
Oman
I've found a website for Oman, the website of the Ministery of Tourism provides information on the four WHS:

Well done Hubert! I assume Els will pick up Oman from that link without the need to send an e-mail?
I was interested to pick up on the entry for the Land of Frankincense. We were there earlier this year and visited the "new" museum at Khor Rori which had been built since our previous visit. The museum was proudly displaying the site's "Inscription Certificate" and this also figures largely on the right hand side of the "official" Web page for this site. This certificate calls the site "Land of Frankincense"
BUT there is one slight problem with it! It is dated 2 Dec 2000 BUT, when the site was inscribed on that date at the 24th WHC in Cairns, it wasn't called "Land of Frankincense" but "The Frankincense Trail". The change took place in 2005 - so some "re-writing of History" has been going on and the certificate must have been "re-issued"!!
It was lucky that Koïchiro Matsuura was still around to sign the re-issue!!! One wonders what would have been done if the delay between the original inscription and the name change had been so long that the original personnel had moved on. Forfend the thought but, maybe, such signatures are themselves not original!!

Holy See
I am not quite sure why this has been left out so far!
The overall "Holy See" site includes a lot of ecclesiatical matters so this entry point seems to be at the right "level" with direct links to numerous lower level pages on the buildings/musea etc

Zambia
Another single-site country. There might be a "National Parks" web site somewhere but this government tourism site seems reasonably comprehensive
http://www.zambiatourism.com/travel/places/victoria.htm
PS. On finding the Mosi oa Tunya NP Web site I noted that the Park covers far more than just the Falls. I checked the Inscription and was surprised to "discover" that in fact the whole NP on the Zambian side IS inscribed. So this link is appropriate also

Struggling with Lebanon and Syria. Nothing on the Lebanese Ministry of Culture website and the Syrian one keeps freezing on me. Not a priority, I guess, in the current circumstances.
