The name "muizenfort" is colloquial - fort at Muiden was never completed! However; it makes little difference - the forts, batteries and barracks differ very little! This is probably the best resource

Ah that explains it, I was trying to work out the difference between them all.
Any Muiden was still a nice place to see both the Amsterdam and New Dutch waterline sites.

Yep to be honest, the beer whilst watching the lock open and close was more fun than the Defensive lines. There was also a very, very small beach which kept us entertained on an unusually hot day.
