2023 is the expected completion date of excavations of the ancient Smyrna city. Izmir has a long way to go to be fully inscribed, probably not in 2023.

Silk Roads: Zarafshan-Karakum Corridor (Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan)
All 3 countries just submitted revamped TWHS for this. The may be aiming for 2023. It has already been in process once before, but the dossier was incomplete in 2019.

Highlands of Mongol Altai (Mongolia)

"The team completed the nomination requirements in late 2020. For the next two years, the team will fine-tune the nomination with the World Heritage Center, Mongolian government, and advisory bodies International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN). Finally, in mid-2023, the World Heritage Committee will make a final decision."

One wonders if China's Xinjiang Altai Mountains will remerge as an extension again?

As previously reported Anticosti Island (Canada) for 2023, postponed only because the Klondike nomination (2022) took precedence.

Astronomical Observatories of Kazan Federal University (Russia) this sounds promising for 2023, but certainly not official yet.

The Olive Grove Landscapes of Andalusia

This articles provides a description of the 10 new/remaining areas. Maybe someone - Jasam - can find out the exact locations?

I wish we could have some offical source instead of these newpaper articles. I read somewhere that they did a 12,000-page (!) nomination file. By the way, the official title is now... "Los paisajes del olivar en Andalucía. Historia milenaria en un mar de olivos." (epic subtitle!!)

Not exactly sure what they want to inscribe, but this is how I broke it down:

Subbética 37.46008, -4.26393
Sierra Mágina 37.68242, -3.6041
Hacienda de La Laguna 37.94494, -3.56693

Yes, great job, Jasam.
And it looks better than I expected. Only two larger areas, many haciendas, not just olive trees.

And I'm happy that I visited Hacienda La Laguna on my Andalusia trip in 2016. Back then there was no T-list entry, just some news that a nomination was planned.
