		Showing my own cultural biases, the responses from Canada, USA, Australia and Germany were pretty measured and appropriate. Basically, this inscription could have been a positive for the list, but the manner in which it has been done will cause damage to UNESCO and the WHC.

		Solivagant: I will look out a photo for you Els as I see you are missing one. Can you do a review as well? I'm always interested in your travels from the past (assuming that it indeed was a long time ago that you went there).

It was even into my "Digital camera" era albeit with relatively few megapixels! Will do - you already have Szucs Tamas's very thorough review of the Niger section of course so I will add an experience of Benin's section

		On the same tour I visited Pendjari too. I will add some info on it. - It was - for me - far less impressive than W in Niger. I had a relatively close encounter with an elephant, and we have seen some antelopes and buffaloes. Like W it is not comparable with the big East African parks, and due to the dense vegetation the visibility is worse here, than on the eastern savanna. W in this sense offers better views on the river banks.
