Recent Reviews Bojana Bartol

Cesky Krumlov Bojana Bartol

A well-deserved WHS. Walking through its streets is like being in a fairy tale. Each of its corners is magical and charming. It is worth the 3-hours bus ride from Prague. As the historic center is small, you can visit everything in one day. I think it is one of the essentials of the Czech Republic.

Kalwaria Zebrzydowska Bojana Bartol

A wonderful place to reconnect with your spirituality... This beautiful sanctuary stands a few kilometers from Krakow and close to the birthplace of Saint John Paul II. The atmosphere that surrounds it creates a mysterious mood that is worth trying; I was there with my family in August and 19 August we had an unforgettable experience, taking part in the parade, which takes place (an almost 8 kms walk) for the veneration of Mary, and which was attended by hundreds of thousands of faithful. Besides the shrine, you absolutely must not miss visiting the various chapels dotted around the hillside surrounding the shrine.

Ananuri (T) Bojana Bartol

Must see! I visited Ananuri fortress while travelling on the Georgian Military Highway. It's a very nice and beautiful place! There are many tourists who come here in cars and huge buses and groups. That's why in the season you should be prepared to stand in a small queue to the best spots for photos. Under the fortress there is a small beach, you can swim in the reservoir.

Gdansk - Town of Memory and Freedom (T) Bojana Bartol

Gdansk is a wonderful city, in which I would like to live, especially along the river, between the crane and the nicely renovated medieval city center. Even with the cold weather (down to -13), the best locals (pubs and clubs) are always full and it's hard to get a table if you did not book before. People from all parts of northern Europe: Germans, Norwegians, Swedes and Finns visit this city. Good beer or vodka cost only 2 euros on average.

Daugavpils Fortress (T) Bojana Bartol

I liked that preserved entire fortress complex. You can see all the details of the fortifications.
