Yakushima
Yakushima is one of the islands of Japan, to the south of Kyûshû. It is covered in dense forest comprised especially of cedar trees known as Sugi in Japan. Yakushima's unique remnant of a warm-temperate ancient forest made it into a natural World Heritage Site.| Year | Decision | Comments |
