"W" National Park of Niger

The W National Park is a major national park in Niger, Benin and Burkina Faso around a meander in the River Niger shaped like a "W". Its 10,000 kmē is largely uninhabited by humans. The part of the park that is situated in Niger occupies a transition zone between savannah and forest lands. It was made a WHS because of its biodiversity and its role in the evolution this diversity.
