Takht-e-Bai are one of the finest, most extensive ruins of any religion here in the country. They stretch some 60 hectares of land near the city of Mardan.
To reach Takht-e-Bai, one has to take the bus to Mardan. From there you can either trek or take a rickshaw for the site. As the site is protected and is built over two mountains, you have to dis-embark and walk. It is a strenous walk for someone who is not accostomed to walking, otherwise the views are breathtaking.
One must never visit this site during the months b/w April and September, as the temperatures are near 40 C. And you'll need a full day to explore it. So take your time.
