Assif Am-David (Israel):
The erosion cirques (makhteshim) of the Negev are unique to Israel and Sinai. I've only been to the Ramon Crater at Mitzpe Ramon which is the biggest of its kind in the world. It's huge and very impressive. The landscape, mainly thanks to the different coulorations of the sand, is owe inspiring. A special geological formation is present at what is called the Carpentry where the stone looks as if it were cut straight by human hand.
Just a short addition - mind you that some of the Makhteshim Country is a closed military zone. Do not wander around without making sure that the area is safe before you leave. The same is true for Mount Karkom as well.
