Rwenzori Mountains

The Rwenzori Mountains National Park includes approximately 1,000 square kilometres of land. Within that land are numerous waterfalls, lakes, glaciers, and the third highest mountain in Africa - Mount Stanley. The highest Rwenzoris are permanently snow-capped, and they, along with Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya are the only such in Africa.

The Rwenzori are located on the border between Uganda and the DRC. The Congolese side of the mountains are covered by Virunga National Park (also a WHS).
