UK - Helston's kennels
Maybe our UK's representatives, Solivagent or Meltwaterfalls can help us on this site's OUV.

A bit of local "kite flying" I suspect rather than a serious proposal - but if the objective in so doing is really only to raise Helston's profile and possibly get some money to help preserve the "kennels" then I guess it may achieve something.
I had not previously heard about the "Helston Kennels" and started off with my mind full of "Dogs" ("Kennels" being where "dogs" are kept!!) - was this going to be another Parforce type site? But "No" the word "Kennels" is of course closely related to the word "Channels" and describes the water course system of the area. Well, it may not be as big an engineering undertaking as the Qanats of Iran, the Alfaj of Oman and the Foggaras of Algeria but the provision of regular clean water to, and removal of waste from, areas of population and industry is a subject of some historic interest and importance.
Here is a bit of background - http://www.helstonhistory.co.uk/history-around-helston-town/street-kennels/

Quite nice, but nothing unique; I lived several years in Freiburg bevore I moved to Austria, Freiburg is well known for similar structures:

I think Assif is also familiar with these channels, so what do you think Assif?: a serial nomination? Freiburg "Bächle" for WHS, :)

I agree, Hubert, this would be funny. Freiburg was also considered as a part of a serial nomination of the Zaehringen cities together with Fribourg (Swiss Freiburg), but the Swiss committee didn't think much of the idea. Maybe in the future, who knows...

Derzhprom (Ukraine)

That would be a nice contribution representing Communist architecture.
