Kurdish heritage

I think they're spanning the boundaries for 'Greater Kurdistan' very wide. It's quite a political point-of-view. A site such as Takht-e Soleyman to me looks outside of the region where the Kurds are in a majority.

See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurdistan#/media/File:Kurdish-inhabited_area_by_CIA_(19 92).jpg

In fact, what attracted me was not the fact that these sites are Kurdish or not, strictly speaking, it is also it allows to discover interesting places not very known (Ain Dara, Amadiyah, Lalish, Shanidar which could complement the caves of Gibraltar...).

Well I guess all "views" about where the boundaries of "Greater Kurdistan" should lie, are "political" (including those of Iran)! This guy has certainly gone OTT in adding together a great list of inscribed and T List sites and placing "Kurdistan" above other countries but his claims about Takht-e Soleyman are among the less "extreme" of those he makes!

It does seem that it is "mainstream" among Kurds to claim Takht-e Soleyman as part of greater Kurdistan and part of the Kurdish cultural heritage.
a. I took a rather nice photo of a couple of Kurds at Takht-e Soleymen in their national costume visiting this site belonging (as they saw it) to their culture. It seems that the Kurds claim the Medes as their forebears so that anything relating to that historical group is "Kurdish"!
b. See this extract from a book which I don't believe to be "Kurdish" in origin which specifically mentions Tahkt-e as being within the Kurdish area
https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=zE83AgAAQBAJ&pg=PA118&lpg=PA118&dq=takht-e+soleym an+kurdistan&source=bl&ots=n-a8uWMxZT&sig=Vh5ZX-vyHl0VlgMXYC3ynukzYoc&hl=en&sa=X&ved= 0ahUKEwjwjv6JyJDNAhUmCcAKHVv4DWYQ6AEIVTAN#v=onepage&q=takht-e%20soleyman%20kurdistan& f=false
c. Then there is this "Propagandist" clip from YouTube which describes Takht-e thus "The Largest & oldest Zoroasterian Fire Temple of Kurdistan " Takht-i Sulaiman " - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHMOeNVAl5c

Of the nine inscribed sites, I think all are acceptable except perhaps Dvirigi and Assur.

The article from Monaco only mentions the country's support for the transnational inscription of the Alpi Marittime-Mercantour nomination, not any possible Monegasque site.
