    Vilnius

For the yearly trip abroad with my mother, we chose Lithuania - one of the few European countries left on my to-do list. Basing ourselves in Vilnius, we had two full days in the capital city and also visited Trakai and Kaunas on day trips by local bus.

We could have easily spent much longer here, finding it easy, pleasant and safe to travel around and enjoying the odd cappucino on a streetside terrace watching the colourful crowd pass by.
